Le Labo seeks a Casual Sales Associate to deliver exceptional, personalized service in our Fortitude Valley boutique. This on-call position centers on creating welcoming in-store experiences, hand-blending fragrances for clients, managing laboratory operations, and building an authentic client database—all while embodying the brand's philosophy of slow perfumery and craftsmanship over aggressive sales tactics.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming and immersive store environment that reflects Le Labo's philosophy of slow perfumery
- Share expert knowledge of fine fragrance, the brand narrative, and the collection while building authentic client connections
- Compound and hand-blend perfumes, manage ingredients, maintain stock, and carefully label and package creations
- Build and manage the client database by gathering client information and preferences
- Follow operational best practices, compliance requirements, and point-of-sale training guidelines
Qualifications
- Ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Capacity to work flexible retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with retail point-of-sale software
- Proven right to live and work in Australia
Skills
Experience
Prior retail experience in luxury or beauty is preferred; however, a strong passion for fragrance and craftsmanship may compensate for limited formal experience. Candidates should demonstrate genuine interest in learning fine perfumery principles and client-centric service methodologies.
Education
No formal educational qualifications are required; however, candidates should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and demonstrable comfort with detailed, artisanal work.
