Role & Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients and identify their wine and spirits preferences through consultative questioning
  • Provide expert advice on wine and spirits, guide purchasing decisions, suggest complementary products, and complete transactions at point-of-sale
  • Maintain department visual appeal and product availability through regular stocking, merchandising, and cleanliness standards
  • Participate in pre-purchase tastings and coordinate educational tastings with visiting winemakers and customers
  • Execute inventory management tasks and assist with order preparation to support operational continuity

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a wine specialist, caviste, or sommelier in a luxury retail environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of wines and spirits across multiple regions and price points
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for sharing product expertise
  • Commercial mindset with proven ability to drive sales and increase average transaction value
