Wine and Spirits Advisor role at Bon Marché, Paris. Full-time CDI position in selective distribution retail.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and identify their needs; recommend wines and spirits with expertise in food and beverage pairings, process transactions, and provide courteous farewells
- Prepare products for sale, process payments, and manage customer complaints or escalate to supervisor as appropriate
- Open and close the department, conduct restocking, manage inventory levels, and place orders as needed
- Monitor supplier issues and escalate when necessary; verify pricing, labeling, and signage accuracy
- Track expiration dates and shelf life, monitor stock shrinkage, and propose department layout improvements
- Organize and participate in commercial promotions and events including wine tastings, educational seminars, and customer training in coordination with other departments
- Support inventory counts and preparations; maintain awareness of departmental and store operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department, equipment, and stockroom; observe waste management protocols
- Comply with health and safety regulations; participate in unloading deliveries
