Role & Responsibilities

  • Collect and transport various waste streams (cardboard, coffee grounds, batteries, capsules, ink cartridges) from collection points to the sorting center.
  • Manually sort waste meticulously by type (plastics, paper, metals, glass) and recycling potential.
  • Ensure proper separation and classification in appropriate containers (bins, compactors) and identify hazardous waste.
  • Compact recyclable materials and organize their storage by category for disposal.
  • Manage the disposal of different bins and containers (bio-waste, sorting, non-hazardous industrial waste, bulky items, electronic waste, bulbs).
  • Strictly adhere to safety standards (use of PPE, equipment operation), maintain cleanliness of the area, and actively contribute to optimizing sorting processes.
  • Collaborate with the team and maintain waste tracking documents.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in sorting instructions and hygiene and safety regulations (waste management, handling equipment usage).
  • Attention to detail, precision, and strong teamwork skills.
  • Experience in the field is advantageous, as is an awareness of environmental issues.
