La Grande Epicerie de Paris (Paris) is hiring a Temporary Stock Associate — Wine Cellar (CDD, 17 Aug–13 Sep 2026).

Role & Responsibilities

  • Receive and process incoming deliveries (rolls and pallets), verify goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Encode bottles and verify barcodes using the POS or PDA; ensure accurate item registration in store systems.
  • Perform daily restocking of the wine cellar shelves and designated cellar locations following encoding.
  • Organise and store overstock and residual items in the reserve; maintain reserve cleanliness and order.
  • Dispatch and allocate incoming stock across departments; manage listings for restock and replenishment.
  • Order department packaging materials (sacherie) and ensure supply availability.
  • Carry out regular inventory checks and support loss-prevention procedures related to cellar stock.

Qualifications

  • First experience in a customer-facing retail environment preferred.
  • Strong sense of customer service and commercial awareness; able to share product knowledge with clients.
  • Energetic, rigorous, organised and able to work autonomously while contributing to a team.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude; able to follow operational procedures precisely.
  • Basic numeracy and attention to detail for order verification and barcode control; ability to perform manual handling tasks.
  • English language skills are a plus.
