Bon Marché seeks Senior Sales Associate – Produce (full-time, CDI) in Paris to lead a team, drive sales, and deliver luxury retail service at La Grande Épicerie de Paris.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise work assignments for the produce department team
  • Serve as liaison between department management and team members, communicating directives and operational guidance
  • Train and onboard new staff, facilitating their integration into the department
  • Monitor and enforce health and safety protocols, escalating any violations to management
  • Relay departmental and store-wide information to the team and report updates to management
  • Welcome customers, identify their needs, provide expert product recommendations and advice, and complete transactions
  • Execute suggestive selling and cross-selling initiatives to maximize transaction value
  • Prepare produce for sale including weighing, packaging, and point-of-sale processing
  • Process customer payments and handle checkout operations as required
  • Build and maintain customer loyalty through personalized service
  • Implement quality assurance action plans following customer feedback visits
  • Resolve customer objections professionally and escalate disputes as needed
  • Co-lead team meetings and information sessions with departmental management
  • Open and close the produce section, ensuring all procedures are completed
  • Execute merchandise placement, restocking, and inventory management
  • Manage stock levels and coordinate ordering with suppliers
  • Monitor shrinkage and oversee waste documentation
  • Verify expiration dates and shelf-life compliance for all products
  • Verify signage accuracy, pricing labels, and product displays; make corrections as necessary
  • Participate in promotional campaigns, planogram changes, and special events including customer tastings
  • Prepare and participate in physical inventory counts and reconciliation
  • Maintain departmental cleanliness and equipment functionality in sales and storage areas
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards throughout daily operations
