Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise pastry department team workflow and task allocation
- Serve as communication liaison between management and department staff
- Welcome customers, assess needs, make recommendations, process transactions, and ensure exceptional service
- Execute point-of-sale transactions and perform complementary sales techniques
- Prepare products for sale including weighing, packaging, and presentation
- Maintain inventory controls, process orders, and manage stock depletion tracking
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations; escalate violations to management
- Conduct opening and closing procedures for the department
- Monitor product expiration dates (DLC and DLUO) and manage merchandise rotation
- Verify pricing accuracy, labels, and promotional displays
- Participate in inventory counts, merchandising changes, and commercial campaigns
- Coordinate and facilitate customer tastings and departmental animations
- Maintain departmental cleanliness, equipment care, and reserve area organization
- Onboard and participate in training of new team members
- Translate and disseminate departmental and store-wide communications to the team
