Bon Marché Paris seeks a Scenography Intern to support logistics, installation coordination, and sustainable event production in luxury retail.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist the Scenography Manager in organizing logistics and coordination of installations, liaising with internal and external technical and logistics providers
- Contribute to the development and communication of installation and removal timelines to all project stakeholders
- Manage external contractor access requests with the security department to retail spaces
- Monitor and update occupational health and safety prevention plans for external vendors operating within stores
- Track installation and removal projects in collaboration with the scenography lead and under guidance from the Scenography Manager
- Participate in furniture inventory management for the Scenography department within remote warehouses, coordinating with general services teams
- Identify and implement environmentally-conscious production solutions in collaboration with project leads and the Scenography Manager
- Assist in managing the secondary lifecycle of décor elements—donations, reuse, and recycling—and build partnerships for end-of-life production management
- Collect and consolidate environmental reporting data (green checklists) initiated by project managers
Qualifications
- Interest in event project management, planning, coordination, and logistics
- Familiarity with scenographic installation and arrangement techniques
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations (ERP) is desirable
- Ability to read technical drawings and plans
- Proficiency or familiarity with SketchUp is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-departmental coordination skills
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Team-oriented with autonomy, proactivity, and adaptability
- Demonstrated interest in sustainable design and eco-conscious event production
- Curiosity about environmental tracking and reporting practices
Skills
Experience
Entry-level; no prior professional experience required. Apprentices are expected to apply theoretical knowledge from their program while developing practical expertise under professional mentorship.
Education
Currently enrolled in or completed a relevant post-secondary program in event management, architecture, scenography, sustainability, logistics, or a related field. High school diploma (Baccalauréat or equivalent) minimum.
