Role & Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients and assess purchasing needs, providing expert product recommendations and personalized service to enhance the shopping experience
  • Execute point-of-sale transactions, prepare products for sale (weighing and packaging), and process supplementary sales opportunities
  • Maintain department merchandise standards through regular stocking, rotation, and display updates; monitor product freshness (DLC/DLUO) and compliance with expiry protocols
  • Manage opening and closing procedures for the produce section; coordinate stock inventory, place orders, and track merchandise movement
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, resolve customer concerns, and escalate disputes to management as required
  • Uphold hygiene and safety protocols, maintain cleanliness of the department and equipment, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Support promotional activities, in-store tastings, and seasonal merchandising campaigns; contribute to inventory counts and stock rotation exercises
  • Collaborate with the broader team to ensure alignment with store operations, daily communications, and the exceptional service expectations of La Grande Épicerie de Paris
