Sales Associate, Charcuterie at La Grande Epicerie de Paris (Bon Marché/LVMH), Paris. Fixed-term, 35 hours per week.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome clientele with warmth and enthusiasm whilst consulting on their requirements and presenting product selections
- Conduct product tastings and recommend complementary purchases to enhance sales
- Oversee opening procedures for the department, including product placement whilst adhering to expiry date protocols, signage, storage organization, and daily replenishment
- Animate and enhance the department's presentation and ambiance to reflect its luxury positioning
- Manage closing duties and contribute to daily departmental operations including hygiene compliance, cleaning, and inventory procedures
Qualifications
- Proven sales experience in charcuterie, delicatessen, or gourmet food retail
- Demonstrated passion for fine cheeses, charcuterie, and gastronomy
- Strong communication skills in English
- Exceptional customer service orientation with ability to identify and fulfill client needs
Skills
Experience
Sales experience in charcuterie, delicatessen, or specialty food retail is essential. Knowledge of fine cheese and cured meat selections, as well as familiarity with luxury retail clientele expectations, is highly valued.
Education
No specific formal qualification is mandated; however, product knowledge certification or specialized training in charcuterie and fine foods is advantageous.
