La Grande Épicerie de Paris — Sales Associate (Barista) in Paris. Full-time permanent role on the pâtisserie counter and Petit Café.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare beverages for Petit Café customers (coffee, tea, juices) and operate beverage equipment to LVMH hospitality standards.
- Serve customers, set and clear café tables, and ensure an impeccable table presentation during and after service.
- Open and maintain the pâtisserie counter: display products, manage daily replenishment, receive and store deliveries, and ensure correct product labeling and merchandising.
- Monitor product shelf life (DLC) and implement quality-control measures to minimise shrinkage and ensure food safety.
- Welcome and advise a discerning clientele, conduct tastings and product presentations to drive complementary sales.
- Animate the sales area to enhance customer engagement and contribute to the rayon’s commercial performance.
- Support closing tasks and the day-to-day upkeep of the counter and tea salon, including cleaning, hygiene compliance and participating in inventories.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales and customer service is required.
- Practical experience or strong knowledge of coffee preparation and barista techniques is highly desirable.
- Enthusiastic, service-oriented disposition with strong interpersonal skills and a commercial mindset.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Demonstrates dynamism, responsiveness and curiosity; alignment with an inclusive approach to recruitment and teamwork.
