Sales Associate & Barista CDI position at La Grande Epicerie de Paris, a luxury gourmet food retailer in the 7th arrondissement
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve beverages (teas, coffees, juices) to café patrons with precision and attention to detail
- Execute table service, set tables for the café, clear and reset dining surfaces during and after service
- Participate in pastry section opening, merchandise products while adhering to expiration dates, inventory management, labeling, receiving organization, and daily restocking
- Welcome and assist luxury clientele with personalized service through active listening and needs assessment
- Present products, conduct tastings, and identify complementary sales opportunities to enhance transaction value
- Maintain dynamic and engaging merchandising of the pastry section throughout operating hours
- Assist with section closing and contribute to daily operations including sanitation, hygiene standards compliance, inventory counts, and tea salon maintenance
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales and food service
- Demonstrated expertise in coffee preparation and beverage service
- Fluency in English (spoken)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to luxury service standards and client satisfaction

Entry-level with at least one year of proven experience in retail sales and food service; barista expertise strongly preferred
