La Grande Épicerie de Paris seeks a Sales Associate & Barista in Paris for full-time CDI role at luxury gourmet food retailer.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare specialty beverages—teas, coffees, and fresh juices—for café clientele with precision and attention to detail
- Conduct table service, including setup, clearing, and post-service tidying of the integrated tea room seating area
- Participate in opening procedures for the pastry section, arranging products while ensuring strict adherence to expiration dates, proper markings, organized receiving, and daily inventory replenishment
- Welcome and advise discerning clientele by actively listening to their needs and presenting curated product recommendations
- Execute product tastings and suggest complementary offerings to enhance transaction value and customer experience
- Maintain dynamic and engaging merchandising of the pastry counter and café environment
- Contribute to closing procedures and uphold daily departmental operations, including sanitation protocols, hygiene standards, and inventory audits
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales and hospitality service environments
- Expert-level barista or specialty beverage preparation skills
- Fluency in English communication
- Demonstrated enthusiasm, responsiveness, and intellectual curiosity
- Ability to engage with and serve affluent clientele in a luxury retail context
