Groupe Bon Marché in Paris seeks an Interior Architect (18‑month contract) to design luxury retail spaces at La Samaritaine.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop new architectural concepts and space layouts for store areas, specifying furniture details, lighting schemes and material palettes.
  • Produce presentation dossiers using multiple media with mandatory 3D visualisation for concept approval.
  • Prepare technical project documentation across design phases (APS, APD, DCE, EXE) for both fit-out and shell works.
  • Coordinate and manage external stakeholders (external architects, engineering consultants, execution project managers, etc.) to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Monitor and enforce project schedules and budgets, escalating risks and implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (commercial teams, operations) on brand implantations and store planning.
  • Ensure effective information flow and communication among all project participants.
  • Embed and guarantee eco-design principles across all project developments.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience on equivalent roles with responsibility for high-end projects in retail, hospitality or F&B.
  • Proven capability to lead projects through APS/APD/DCE/EXE phases.
  • Strong analytical drawing skills, acute attention to detail and robust project delivery track record.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy and experience liaising with demanding stakeholders.
  • Autonomous, proactive and organised with the ability to prioritise multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Experience

At least 10 years of professional experience in luxury retail, hospitality or high-end interior projects, with end-to-end project management responsibility.

Education

Degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture.
