General Accountant position at Samaritaine, Paris. LVMH selective distribution role in financial reporting and compliance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Control reciprocity of accounts across group entities
- Record and process accounting entries
- Reconcile and match accounts
- Monitor and analyze balance sheet accounts
- Organize and supervise accounting data entry to meet deadlines
- Generate trial balances, balance sheets, and income statements
- Record miscellaneous transactions
- Prepare quarterly statements and year-end closing reports
- Prepare tax declarations (VAT, DS, EMBI, IS, CVAE, C3S, etc.)
- Track and manage fixed assets
- Manage relationships with external auditors on assigned scope
- Monitor evolution of accounting standards and ensure correct application
- Actively participate in continuous improvement projects for accounting procedures and tools
Qualifications
- Superior accounting diploma (DCG, DSCG, or DEC)
- 5 to 6 years of experience in a similar position
- Expertise in French accounting standards and IFRS
- Preferably experience in both accounting firms and corporate environments
- Fluent operational English
- Strong analytical and technical accounting competencies
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience in a similar role, with exposure to both accounting firms and corporate environments. Demonstrated competence with French accounting standards and IFRS.
Education
Superior accounting diploma (DCG, DSCG, or DEC) required.
