Le Bon Marché is hiring a full-time Fruit and Vegetable Sales Associate for La Grande Epicerie de Paris in Paris on a permanent contract (CDI). The role combines customer service and sales with produce presentation, replenishment, stock support, food-safety routines, and department upkeep.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, identify their needs, make suggestions, advise and serve them, handle objections, and conclude the interaction.
- Complete sales, recommend complementary products, and build customer loyalty.
- Prepare products for sale, including weighing and packaging them.
- Process payments, depending on the department.
- Contribute to action plans following quality visits.
- Handle customer objections or refer disputes to the manager.
- Open and close the department.
- Set up and replenish the department.
- Assist with stock management and place orders.
- Help monitor stock loss and record stock transfers.
- Monitor use-by and best-before dates.
- Check signage, labels, and other displays, making updates as needed.
- Help reorganize the department and set up promotional activities.
- Help organize customer events and tastings.
- Participate in stocktaking.
- Clean and maintain the department, equipment, and storage areas.
- Follow hygiene and safety rules.
- Help put away deliveries.
- Stay informed about developments in the department and store.
Qualifications
- Ideally, initial experience in sales.
- Strong interest in sales and gastronomy.
- Enthusiastic, dynamic, responsive, and curious, with a desire to satisfy customers seeking a high-quality shopping experience and service.
- Able to communicate in English.
