As part of an apprenticeship, the Deli Sales Associate welcomes and advises customers, presents and samples products, replenishes stock and supports department opening, closing and daily operations. The role is based at La Grande Épicerie de Paris in Paris.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist with opening the department and display products, ensuring date-limit monitoring, shrinkage control, product signage, delivery organization and daily replenishment.
- Welcome and advise high-end customers by listening to their needs.
- Present products, offer tastings and develop complementary sales.
- Animate and maintain the department’s activity.
- Assist with closing and contribute to the department’s daily operations, including cleaning, compliance with hygiene rules and inventory counts.
- Welcome and inform customers while ensuring product replenishment and quality, with the aim of growing department revenue and building customer loyalty.
Qualifications
- Currently studying for a BTS in Sales/Commerce or equivalent.
- A first sales experience is preferred.
- A strong interest in gastronomy.
- Enthusiasm, a passion for sales and a desire to satisfy customers seeking a high-quality shopping experience and service.
- Dynamism, responsiveness and curiosity.
- Ability to communicate in English.
