Le Bon Marché seeks Commercial Management Analyst in Paris. Full-time hybrid role managing retail budgets, P&L, and departmental performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support Department Directors through all phases of the annual budgeting cycle, including market strategy definition, budget presentation to Group EXCO, and challenge of underlying assumptions on turnover, margin, and personnel costs
- Monitor P&L performance against budget and revised forecasts, ensuring accuracy and recommending corrective actions to senior management
- Track operational expenses, particularly labor costs, in collaboration with sales teams, and challenge budget reforecasts quarterly
- Develop and continuously improve performance tracking tools and dashboards to monitor departmental performance and P&L achievement
- Conduct regular review meetings with assigned Department Directors, presenting analytical insights and performance recommendations
- Collaborate with Buyers on seasonal purchase envelope (OTB) development at department and brand levels, and support commercial negotiation sessions
- Analyze historical sales flows and performance metrics to inform buying decisions and challenge purchase commitments against defined envelopes
- Monitor inventory levels, stock flow rates, and merchandise velocity across assigned departments
- Deliver end-of-season performance assessments and year-over-year comparative analysis
- Track key commercial KPIs continuously, identify performance variances, and provide concrete recommendations to optimize commercial outcomes
- Contribute to commercial space evolution projects and profitability enhancement initiatives
Qualifications
- Graduate of École de Commerce (Business School) or equivalent university degree with specialization in Finance or Management
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in management accounting, financial control, or business performance management
- Demonstrated proficiency in retail operations and understanding of seasonal commercial dynamics
- Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholder groups including operational and executive profiles
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; comfortable presenting to non-financial audiences and leading meetings
- Experience in a similar luxury retail or upscale departmental store environment preferred
- Management experience is a plus

Proven track record of working collaboratively with operational stakeholders, strong ability to challenge assumptions constructively, and demonstrated success managing multiple competing priorities.

Graduate of École de Commerce (Business School) or equivalent university-level qualification with specialization in Finance, Accounting, or Management.
