Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche seeks a Checkout Cashier to join the Stationery department at its iconic Paris location. This fixed-term contract role involves opening and closing cash registers, maintaining cash floats, processing transactions, and ensuring exceptional customer service across varied shift times beginning in early November.
Role & Responsibilities
- Open and close cash registers, ensuring proper setup and reconciliation
- Verify and maintain the cash float throughout the shift
- Welcome customers and provide courteous product information
- Process customer transactions and operate point-of-sale systems
- Bag merchandise carefully to ensure product protection and customer satisfaction
- Perform cash count and reconcile receipts at shift end
- Monitor cash drawer accuracy and report discrepancies
Qualifications
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Experience in luxury retail or high-end department store environment is preferred
- English language proficiency is beneficial
