La Grande Épicerie de Paris (Paris) seeks a Catering Events Project Assistant (apprenticeship) to support briefs, proposals, supplier coordination and on‑site event execution.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Events Catering in developing the catering events business, from initial briefing to post-event follow-up.
- Conduct client briefings to identify needs and expectations; translate briefs into tailored commercial proposals aligned with brand standards.
- Coordinate operational execution by communicating requirements to production laboratories, maître d’ teams, security and external suppliers.
- Source and place orders with third‑party vendors (furniture and equipment rental, external services) and manage supplier relationships.
- Oversee on‑site event setup and ensure smooth execution on the day‑of; troubleshoot operational issues in real time.
- Produce and process customer billing and receipts; liaise with finance/control teams to ensure accurate invoicing.
- Monitor monthly revenues and costs for the catering service and track the profitability of individual events in collaboration with financial controllers.
- Identify new supplier partnerships and business development opportunities to expand the events catering offering.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in or recent graduate of a Master 1/2 programme at a business school or equivalent university qualification.
- Demonstrable interest in hospitality, catering and event management.
- Strong client-facing and interpersonal skills with a pronounced service orientation.
- Results-driven mindset and sensitivity to culinary and gastronomic standards.
- Capacity to work under pressure, manage multiple simultaneous projects and adapt to event‑day constraints.

Entry-level role suitable for candidates with limited professional experience; internships, academic projects or prior practical exposure in catering, hospitality or events are advantageous.
