Role & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process a wide range of meats in the on-site butchery laboratory, including carcass breakdown, trimming and jointing.
  • Receive, inspect and store deliveries; package, label and stock prepared products while ensuring correct temperature and storage conditions.
  • Serve and advise clients at the counter: identify needs, make recommendations, execute sales, weigh and package purchases, and ensure post-sale satisfaction.
  • Maintain merchandising standards: create attractive displays, verify product condition, update labelling and pricing, and support commercial operations and in-store events.
  • Ensure daily cleanliness and maintenance of the laboratory, equipment and reserves; comply with hygiene, safety standards and internal audit action plans.
  • Manage stock rotation and traceability (monitor DLC, DDM, DLUO), participate in inventories and contribute to loss-prevention and anti-waste initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Vocational training in butchery or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong commercial orientation with excellent client-facing manners and sales aptitude.
  • Solid knowledge of meat products, provenance and environmental labelling; sensitivity to sustainability and anti-waste practices.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team under fast-paced retail conditions.
  • Respect for hygiene and safety rules; comfortable using personal protective equipment. English language skills are an asset.
