Role & Responsibilities

• Define, analyze, and implement security and safety procedures, systems, and signage in compliance with applicable legislation and business requirements
• Conduct internal and external anti-theft measures, investigate incidents as required, and report security breaches
• Maintain ongoing dialogue with sales teams regarding inventory shrinkage and broader security matters
• Communicate with stakeholders (store management, law enforcement, external partners) to ensure optimal security standards
• Collaborate across store departments to provide security coverage for all company events and operations
• Conduct security training and informational sessions for La Samaritaine personnel
• Provide operational oversight of the external security contractor, including hours tracking, presence verification, and uniform compliance
• Monitor surveillance camera systems, archive footage as needed, and transmit recordings to authorities when required
• Support implementation of new concessions and retail concepts within the store
• Issue employee access badges and manage pass protocols for external vendors and service providers

Qualifications

• Certified Loss Prevention Technician (CERIC or equivalent certification)
• Minimum 8 years of experience in internal security or loss prevention operations within a retail environment
• Demonstrated excellence in stakeholder relations and interpersonal communication
• Solution-oriented with proven ability to resolve complex, unconventional security challenges
• Strong field-level operational experience and proactive mindset
• Proficiency in detailed reporting and documentation with strict confidentiality standards

Experience

Minimum 8 years of professional experience in internal security or loss prevention operations, preferably within luxury retail or high-end department store environments.

Education

Certified Loss Prevention Technician (CERIC) or equivalent professional certification in security management.
