Role & Responsibilities

  • Assess client alteration needs during fittings and provide professional advice on garment modifications
  • Mark and pin garments in preparation for alterations
  • Execute alterations and repairs independently, selecting appropriate materials and techniques
  • Perform finishing work including seaming, hemming, and specialized repairs
  • Conduct quality control inspections and final pressing of completed garments
  • Welcome clients, listen to their requirements, and ensure satisfaction with completed work
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the atelier workspace

Qualifications

  • Training or certification in sewing and garment construction
  • Demonstrated expertise in tailoring techniques and garment alteration
