Role & Responsibilities
- Assess client alteration needs during fittings and provide professional advice on garment modifications
- Mark and pin garments in preparation for alterations
- Execute alterations and repairs independently, selecting appropriate materials and techniques
- Perform finishing work including seaming, hemming, and specialized repairs
- Conduct quality control inspections and final pressing of completed garments
- Welcome clients, listen to their requirements, and ensure satisfaction with completed work
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the atelier workspace
Qualifications
- Training or certification in sewing and garment construction
- Demonstrated expertise in tailoring techniques and garment alteration
