Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-touch, personalised fragrance consultations and product recommendations to discerning clients at the Selfridges counter.
- Achieve and exceed individual and counter sales targets through consultative selling and proactive clienteling.
- Maintain exceptional visual merchandising and counter presentation to brand standards, including stock rotation and sample management.
- Build and nurture a client database to drive repeat business and loyalty, including follow-ups and bespoke aftercare.
- Support and execute product launches, in-store events and promotional activity in collaboration with retail and brand teams.
- Manage daily stock processes: receiving, replenishment, point-of-sale transactions and accurate cash handling.
- Provide detailed product knowledge on fragrance compositions, ingredient provenance and application techniques.
- Report market feedback and competitor activity to the store and brand teams to inform assortment and merchandising decisions.
Qualifications
- Proven retail experience in luxury beauty, perfumery or a premium cosmetics environment (preferably 1+ years).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a service-oriented, client-first mindset.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting sales targets and delivering measurable commercial results.
- Strong sensory literacy and passion for fragrance — able to articulate scent families, accords and olfactory narratives.
- Flexible approach to retail hours, including evenings, weekends and peak trading periods.

Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in luxury beauty or fragrance retail, with demonstrable sales performance and client relationship management at a prestige retailer or department store.
Education
No formal academic requirement; vocational qualifications or accredited training in beauty/perfumery are advantageous.
