Lancôme seeks a Counter Manager in Ürümqi to lead a beauty retail team, deliver sales and service objectives, oversee counter operations and inventory, and develop client relationships. The full-time role includes team coaching, staffing and performance management, compliance, and collaboration with department stores and shopping centres.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and coach the team to achieve sales targets; manage, allocate and follow up on performance indicators.
- Raise counter service standards, deliver an excellent consumer experience and strengthen consumer relationships.
- Manage counter consumer relationships and develop plans to retain existing clients and attract new ones.
- Maintain strong working relationships with department stores and shopping centres, support their activities and build the brand’s reputation in the retail district.
- Monitor market trends and competitors, identify the counter’s strengths and develop sales opportunities.
- Oversee compliance with company policies at the counter and among team members, and uphold the brand image.
- Use and maintain counter-related beauty retail systems, beauty equipment and digital tools.
- Manage counter merchandise and inventory, ensuring accurate stock counts and inventory records.
- Track team performance, identify gaps, coordinate training, recommend solutions and coach team members.
- Manage, motivate and develop team members.
- Ensure counter staffing meets business needs and allocate schedules and work assignments appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with the team, share information across levels, strengthen team loyalty and foster openness, collaboration and high morale.
- Maintain knowledge of the brand, its products, brand culture and values, company and brand policies and procedures, beauty-market and consumer trends, digital tools, and BA team-management processes and guidelines, including the employee handbook.
- Plan and implement counter business activity; manage counter sales performance; maintain a customer-centric approach; oversee retail operations; coach the team and manage performance; foster teamwork; communicate and collaborate.
