La Prairie is seeking a full-time Beauty Consultant at its John Lewis counter on Oxford Street, London, on a permanent contract, working five days per week (37.5 hours). The role combines sales, clienteling and personalised skincare consultations with bespoke facials and treatments in the treatment room.
Role & Responsibilities
- Make informed business decisions aligned with La Prairie’s brand values and ambitions.
- Achieve sales objectives through client retention and new client acquisition, focusing on high-net-worth individuals and VIPs.
- Build strong business relationships across the store, particularly with Personal Shoppers, Concierges and other key partners.
- Maintain retail excellence, including impeccable housekeeping and point-of-sale standards.
- Build meaningful client connections by understanding individual needs and developing trust and loyalty.
- Proactively introduce and recommend tailored products, delivering a personalised one-to-one luxury experience.
- Engage and nurture client relationships using La Prairie’s clienteling tools and systems.
- Demonstrate expert product knowledge and communicate the brand’s heritage, scientific innovation and skincare benefits.
- Encourage and demonstrate product application at the counter and in the cabin.
- Use the treatment room to provide bespoke luxury facials and skincare treatments, enhancing the client experience and deepening loyalty.
Qualifications
- Strong retail background with a track record of achieving results.
- Passion for beauty and skincare, a natural affinity for luxury and a commitment to excellence.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to deliver inspiring, authentic, client-centric service.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to drive sales and exceed targets.
- Confidence in networking within the store to create new business opportunities.
- Collaborative team player who contributes positively to a diverse, high-performing team.
- NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy is desired.
- Mandarin is desired but not essential.
