La Mer seeks a creative and technically skilled Makeup Artist to deliver an inspiring, personalized in-store experience that educates and delights customers. The successful candidate will combine aesthetic expertise with a passion for client engagement, collaborating with in-store teams to execute high-impact beauty events and maintain visual merchandising excellence. This role offers training and career development within the prestige beauty sector, welcoming both certified makeup artists and experienced professionals as well as passionate enthusiasts with demonstrated creative and technical capabilities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Apply makeup artistry techniques to create personalized looks that educate and inspire customers
- Deliver authentic, consultative customer service in a fast-paced retail environment
- Collaborate with the team to execute in-store beauty events and promotional activities
- Maintain elevated visual merchandising standards and store presentation to differentiate against competitors
- Process retail transactions using point-of-sale software
- Work flexible retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
Qualifications
- Qualification in makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience (preferred but not required)
- Demonstrated creative and technical expertise in makeup application
- Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Proficiency with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Flexibility to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends, and special events
- Proof of right to live and work in Taiwan
Skills
Experience
Candidates with or without formal retail makeup experience are welcome; amateur-level experience coupled with demonstrated creative and technical expertise is acceptable. Previous experience in prestige beauty retail or makeup artistry is preferred but not required.
Education
Qualification in makeup artistry is preferred but not required; candidates with amateur-level experience demonstrating high creative and technical capability are encouraged to apply.
