La Mer Beauty Advisor, 16 hours per week, John Lewis Leeds. Estée Lauder is recruiting a skilled makeup artist and beauty consultant for the prestige counter.
Role & Responsibilities
- Apply makeup artistry skills to provide personalized beauty consultations and styling guidance to customers
- Educate clients on La Mer products, ingredients, and usage techniques to drive product advocacy and repeat sales
- Execute flawless makeup applications and transformations tailored to individual customer preferences and skin tones
- Actively participate in and support in-store beauty events, product launches, and promotional campaigns
- Maintain immaculate visual merchandising standards at the counter to reflect La Mer brand prestige and competitive differentiation
- Operate retail point-of-sale software and manage transactions with accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with the store team to achieve sales targets and contribute to a high-performing retail environment
- Build lasting customer relationships through authentic, inspirational and consultative service delivery
Qualifications
- Makeup artistry certification or previous retail makeup experience preferred; amateur-level creative and technical expertise demonstrable through portfolio or practical assessment also considered
- Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service in a fast-paced retail setting
- Proficiency with retail point-of-sale software and systems
- Flexibility to work variable retail hours including days, evenings, weekends and special events
- Legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom, with proof available for interview
Skills
Experience
While certification in makeup artistry or previous prestige beauty retail experience is desirable, the employer welcomes applicants with amateur-level creative and technical expertise who demonstrate strong customer service capability and retail readiness. Entry-level candidates with a genuine passion for beauty and proven styling sensibility will be considered for training and development.
Education
Makeup artistry qualification, diploma, or training certification is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is expected as a baseline.
