Kering Venture Capital Analyst Intern in Paris, supporting House of Wonders and Kering Ventures investment and portfolio activities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Identify and assess growth opportunities across categories, geographies and channels in light of developments in luxury and adjacent markets.
- Meet entrepreneurs, brands and leadership teams to evaluate their potential and alignment with Kering’s strategic and investment priorities.
- Analyze emerging trends and innovations in luxury, fashion, lifestyle, technology and adjacent sectors.
- Contribute to due diligence, including sector research, market and competitor analysis, brand assessment, identification of barriers to entry and key risks, and preparation of investment memoranda.
- Support monitoring of the Ventures portfolio through data collection and analysis, reporting and performance tracking.
- Identify and develop value-creation opportunities for portfolio companies, including partnerships, collaborations and synergies with Kering’s Houses and teams.
- Build in-depth knowledge of relevant ecosystems by engaging with entrepreneurs, experts and key market participants, and contribute content and analysis for internal and external audiences.
- Represent Kering in entrepreneurial and technology ecosystems by attending events, conferences, startup meetings and industry communities.
Qualifications
- Currently studying at a business school, engineering school or equivalent university programme.
- Previous experience in venture capital, private equity, consulting, investment banking, technology or innovation.
- Strong interest in luxury, fashion and creative industries, as well as new technologies, entrepreneurship and emerging business models.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills, business acumen and intellectual curiosity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to structure and clearly present an analysis or investment opportunity.
- Confidence engaging with entrepreneurs, executives and experts, and the ability to build trusted relationships.
- Proactive, independent and organized, with strong attention to detail and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal intelligence, discernment, listening skills and empathy.
- Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
