Senior Accounting Analyst at Kering in São Paulo, Brazil. Support financial close, reporting, and compliance with BRGAAP and IFRS standards.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and propose corrective actions when necessary
  • Analyze profit and loss accounts, ensuring proper classification and allocation of revenues, expenses, and accruals
  • Manage and reconcile intercompany balances, identifying discrepancies and coordinating resolutions with local and international stakeholders
  • Review direct taxes, indirect taxes, and withholding tax calculations against the general ledger, ensuring consistency and accuracy
  • Process and validate payroll-related journal entries, ensuring alignment between payroll reports and accounting records
  • Ensure compliance with the accrual accounting principle and proper recognition of financial transactions and business events
  • Prepare financial reports, schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for submission to corporate and regional headquarters
  • Support the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with Brazilian Accounting Standards (CPCs), IFRS, and local regulations
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing required documentation and support throughout the audit cycle
  • Act as a key partner to Tax, Payroll, AP, AR, and Shared Services teams to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency
  • Monitor accounting controls and identify opportunities to strengthen compliance, accuracy, and process effectiveness
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through automation, standardization, and enhanced accounting procedures
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements, including submissions to governmental and statistical agencies such as IBGE
  • Maintain and validate vendor registration records within the local ERP environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Solid experience in accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities
  • Strong understanding of BRGAAP, IFRS, accounting controls, and financial statement preparation
  • Experience managing balance sheet and P&L analysis, account reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Fluent English is required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Hands-on profile with initiative, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across functions and countries
