Kering Technologies seeks an experienced SAP ABAP Developer for the SAP Finance team in Paris. Lead AI-assisted development methodology innovation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain SAP ABAP solutions in compliance with Group architecture, security, performance, and quality standards
- Pilot and deploy the AI-assisted SAP methodology from initial use cases through industrialization and team adoption
- Pragmatically experiment with AI assistance across key development lifecycle stages: requirement analysis, impact assessment, code generation and review, test preparation, documentation, and incident resolution
- Define safeguards and governance frameworks with relevant stakeholders: human validation, data protection, AI traceability, role separation, and acceptance criteria
- Evaluate experimental outcomes using measurable criteria such as code quality, test coverage, defect reduction, maintainability, and operational efficiency gains
- Build and enhance a reliable, structured functional and technical repository exploitable by AI-assisted tools
- Produce clear, reusable documentation: development standards, procedures, reference examples, lessons learned, and best practices
- Collaborate closely with functional subject matter experts to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and challenge requests where necessary
- Guide developers and external partners in adopting the new methodology through demonstrations, code reviews, coaching, and knowledge sharing
- Monitor SAP platform evolution and development assistance tools with a critical, results-oriented perspective
Qualifications
- Engineering degree, university degree in computer science, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of proven SAP ABAP development experience with demonstrated mastery of code quality, performance, security, and maintainability principles
- Strong understanding of the complete SAP development lifecycle: technical design, transport management, testing, production deployment, maintenance, and documentation
- Ability to analyze functional requirements, identify system impacts, and propose appropriately scoped technical solutions
- Experience conducting code reviews and diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues
- Genuine interest in artificial intelligence applied to software development with a critical, experimental, and results-driven mindset
- Rigorous validation of AI-generated or AI-suggested content with strong sensitivity to confidentiality, security, and compliance considerations
- Demonstrated autonomy, initiative, and 'doer' mentality with commitment to building, testing, measuring, documenting, and iterating
- Ability to operate effectively in international, cross-functional environments, communicating clearly with technical and functional stakeholders and sharing expertise
- Professional-level English proficiency; French is a valuable asset
