Kering — R2R Accountant in Shanghai: lead financial close, reporting and reconciliations; SAP FI/CO and IFRS expertise required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own and execute the full month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing cycle for assigned entities, including journal entries, accruals, provisions and adjustments.
- Prepare accurate statutory and management financial statements in accordance with HKFRS/MFRS and IFRS, including variance analysis and explanations of key fluctuations.
- Lead balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on open items to ensure accounts are fully substantiated and cleared in a timely manner.
- Act as first line of defence for financial controls: maintain and enforce the internal control framework and escalate risks promptly.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing organised documentation, schedules and clear responses to auditor queries.
- Partner closely with in‑house brand finance and cross‑functional stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, align accounting treatments and support new business activities.
- Drive continuous improvement and digitalisation of the R2R cycle, leveraging SAP (FI/CO) and participating in system enhancements and accounting standard implementations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification highly preferred (CPA, ACCA or HKICPA).
- Mandatory proficiency with SAP FI/CO; hands‑on experience with S/4HANA is a significant advantage.
- Solid technical knowledge of HKFRS/MFRS and IFRS with demonstrated application in financial reporting.
- Proven ability to prepare statutory financial statements and perform complex reconciliations under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and spoken English to liaise effectively with regional stakeholders.

Experience
Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within luxury retail, general retail or fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG), with direct responsibility for month‑end close, balance sheet control and reporting.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
