Kering seeks a Record-to-Report Accountant — Intercompany in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia to manage intercompany accounting and month-end close.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute intercompany transactions: prepare and record billings, invoices, debit and credit notes in accordance with agreed processes.
  • Drive month‑end and year‑end closing activities for intercompany flows, including intercompany confirmations, reconciliations and income/expense accruals.
  • Provide timely audit support by responding to queries and supplying documentation related to intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure compliance of intercompany processing with internal controls and applicable accounting standards; escalate exceptions and unresolved items.
  • Identify and escalate process gaps; propose and implement improvements to daily operations and closing/reporting SLAs.
  • Support the SSC objective of becoming paperless by helping redesign controls, practices and processes.
  • Participate in process‑improvement initiatives and projects under the direction of the Manager R2R Intercompany.
  • Perform ad‑hoc assignments and cross‑functional tasks as required by the team.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance and Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in finance and accounting roles.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a public accounting firm; Big Four experience highly preferred.
  • Practical experience with intercompany accounting, month‑end close and reconciliations; SAP experience preferred.

Experience

Experience in a Shared Service Center or finance transformation environment is an advantage.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
