Kering seeks an R2R & Statutory Reporting Manager in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia to lead R2R, statutory reporting, audits and inventory control within the Finance Shared Services.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end record-to-report (R2R) activities for assigned brands, markets and entities; ensure month‑end and year‑end close deliverables are accurate and on time.
  • Oversee statutory reporting and audit processes, including preparation of financial statements, audit schedules, management of audit queries and coordination with external auditors and advisors.
  • Review and validate monthly HFM/MRP and SAP deliverables, balance sheet reconciliations, variance commentary and consolidated group reporting packs.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles: template preparation, consolidation and deviation analysis to support Brand Finance reviews and scenario planning.
  • Control inventory accounting and stock processes for SEAO/ANZ: month‑end stock adjustments, sales‑by‑category reporting (JDA), monitoring stock outflow vs retail sales and coordination of stock‑take exercises.
  • Act as primary finance contact for assigned brands and markets; liaise with Retail Operations, Logistics, Legal and Shared Services (P2P, R2R, MDM, Tech) to resolve cross‑functional issues.
  • Supervise, coach and develop analysts and specialists; ensure resource planning, documentation, knowledge transfer and performance management aligned with group frameworks.
  • Support transfer pricing documentation, tax compliance activities and coordination with Group Tax and external tax advisors; review tax computations and maintain compliance calendars.
  • Drive process governance and continuous improvement initiatives: standardisation, automation and enhancement of internal controls across R2R and tax compliance processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification preferred (CPA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Minimum 10 years’ progressive experience in commercial finance within a multinational environment.
  • Demonstrable experience managing statutory audits, external auditors and compliance cycles.
  • Hands‑on experience with inventory accounting, stock reconciliations and audit coordination.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach teams, assign SMART objectives and drive performance.

Experience

At least 10 years of commercial finance experience in a multinational or shared services environment, with a proven track record in record‑to‑report processes, statutory reporting, audit management and inventory accounting. Demonstrated experience partnering with brand finance, retail operations and tax advisors is required.
