R2R Accountant at Kering Shanghai FSSC | Financial closing and reporting role in luxury retail
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ownership of key closing activities including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet adjustments
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing cycles with precision and timeliness
- Prepare accurate and compliant statutory financial statements in line with IFRS and local GAAP standards, including variance analysis and explanations of key fluctuations
- Perform comprehensive balance sheet reconciliation and follow up on open items to ensure all accounts are properly reconciled and fully substantiated
- Serve as first line of defense for financial controls, ensuring compliance with the internal control framework to safeguard assets and maintain data integrity
- Support internal and external audits with organized documentation and clear explanations
- Proactively monitor accounting issues and escalate potential risks; strengthen control awareness across the organization
- Collaborate with in-house brand finance teams to resolve discrepancies, clarify transactions, and align on accounting treatments
- Drive process improvements and digitalization initiatives within the R2R cycle, leveraging SAP (FICO) to enhance efficiency and automation
- Participate in cross-functional finance projects, including system enhancements, new accounting standard implementations, and business activity integrations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, or HKICPA preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in luxury retail, retail, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG)
- In-depth, practical knowledge of HKFRS/MFRS and IFRS standards
- Mandatory proficiency in SAP (FI/CO modules); experience with S/4HANA is a significant plus

Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong preference for backgrounds in luxury retail, retail, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). Hands-on experience in month-end activities, balance sheet control, and issue resolution is essential.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or HKICPA is highly preferred.
