Payroll Specialist at Kering in Dubai: manage multi-country MEA payroll, vendor coordination, and compliance within HR Shared Services.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end monthly payroll cycles for assigned MEA countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with local labour laws and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate key payroll inputs including hires, exits, salary changes, allowances, deductions, commissions, bonuses, leave calculations, and benefits administration
  • Review and validate payroll outputs, resolve discrepancies, and support final settlements, end-of-service benefits, and statutory payments
  • Partner with external payroll providers, including ADP and BSH Soft, to ensure smooth payroll execution, issue resolution, and service quality
  • Ensure payroll governance and compliance with local labour laws, social security, pension, tax, statutory, data protection, and internal policy requirements
  • Prepare, review, and reconcile payroll reports for Finance, internal stakeholders, audits, and statutory obligations
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, documentation, checklists, and audit trails, escalating payroll risks or control gaps as required
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure payroll costs, liabilities, journals, and payments are accurately reflected and reconciled
  • Support month-end, year-end, and statutory payroll activities, investigating and resolving variances in a timely manner
  • Act as a payroll subject matter expert and escalation point for employees, Brand HR, and business stakeholders
  • Respond to payroll queries clearly, confidentially, and professionally, covering payslips, deductions, leave balances, statutory matters, and final settlements
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, automate, and strengthen payroll processes across the region
  • Support payroll transformation, system enhancements, implementations, country transitions, and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant payroll experience, preferably within a multinational organisation or complex shared-services environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end payroll activities
  • Strong Excel and data-analysis skills
  • Experience working with external payroll vendors or outsourced payroll providers
  • Strong understanding of payroll controls, reconciliations, and compliance

Experience

5+ years of relevant payroll experience, preferably within a multinational organisation or complex shared-services environment. Demonstrated competency in managing end-to-end payroll activities, working with external payroll vendors, and maintaining robust payroll controls and reconciliations. Multi-country MEA payroll experience and regional HR Operations or Shared Services background are highly desirable.

Education

Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Payroll certification or professional HR/payroll qualification is desirable.
