Kering seeks a Payroll Executive in Petaling Jaya to manage payroll operations for Australia, New Zealand, and Guam across luxury brands including Gucci, Saint Laurent, and Balenciaga.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end fortnightly payroll for employees across assigned portfolio
  • Maintain accurate employee records including new hires, terminations, leave entitlements, superannuation, and tax declarations
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Fair Work Act, New Zealand Holidays Act, PAYG, KiwiSaver, and relevant employment and tax legislation
  • Interpret and apply Modern Awards to ensure correct pay rates, allowances, and entitlements
  • Calculate and process employee entitlements including overtime, penalty rates, shift loadings, public holidays, and leave accruals
  • Prepare and submit Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting in Australia and payday filing in New Zealand
  • Administer statutory and voluntary deductions including tax withholdings, garnishments, retirement plans, and group insurance premiums
  • Ensure timely submission of payroll tax filings including IRS forms (941, 940, W-2, W-3) and Guam local tax reports
  • Manage payroll service providers and in-house payroll processing workflows to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely delivery
  • Perform off-cycle pay runs as requested by brands
  • Prepare monthly closing data including payroll accruals, overtime cost reports, and headcount reporting
  • Liaise with Finance on monthly accrual and payroll journal entries
  • Manage withholding tax and deposit received administration
  • Execute monthly, semi-annual, and yearly income tax returns according to local legislation requirements
  • Participate in preparation and follow-up of yearly external and internal audit procedures
  • Monitor integration flow from Workday to local HRIS platforms such as iChris for ANZ
  • Check for system updates in accordance with statutory contribution and tax law changes
  • Participate in system implementation and integration projects
  • Handle payroll inquiries from Brand HR and employees via ticketing system
  • Extract and report data as requested by brands

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources
  • Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience
  • Proficiency in payroll systems and SAP
  • Advanced organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative team orientation
