Kering — P2P Accountant (Korean speaker) in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Manage batch & emergency payments, SAP and AP controls.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute and control batch payment runs: perform pre- and post-payment checks and release payments according to schedule.
- Process emergency and manual payments (bank portal input) in accordance with Project Alfred exceptions and bank cut-off requirements.
- Meet defined service levels: address Invoice Processing Team, brand and vendor enquiries within required SLA (target: 2 days).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives: assist with new process implementations, testing of systems, and identification of efficiency gains.
- Maintain and assist upkeep of Treasury and Accounts Payable policies, procedures and internal controls; ensure compliance with SSC standards and accounting principles.
- Monitor and contribute to performance measurement and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage stakeholder relationships: respond to stakeholder requests, escalate issues appropriately and maintain working relationships with brands and internal teams.
- Provide team support and people development: train new joiners, back up peers, foster a positive working environment and enhance team effectiveness.
- Perform ad hoc tasks and special projects as required to support the P2P function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent; professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA or MIA) preferred.
- Business proficiency in English and Korean — TOPIK Level 4 to 5 (reading, writing and speaking).
- Minimum 4–5 years’ relevant experience in P2P/accounts payable or treasury functions; shared services or industry experience advantageous.
- Practical experience with SAP (experience with SAP FI/CO strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals, chart of accounts, P&L and balance sheet reporting, and inter-company recharge principles.
- Demonstrated ability to follow internal controls, resolve problems promptly and meet SLA-driven service levels.

Experience
Minimum 4–5 years of hands-on experience in accounts payable, payments processing or treasury within a shared services or corporate finance environment; experience with general ledger and fixed assets processes is an advantage.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, MIA) preferred.

The successful candidate will be located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, with easy access to Kuala Lumpur.
