The role sits within Kering's Legal Shared Services providing in-house legal support to multiple Houses.

Kering is hiring a Legal Counsel (maternity cover) in Milan to advise brands and negotiate commercial contracts in Italian and English.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide pragmatic legal advice and consultancy to Operations, Procurement, Facilities & General Services, Sustainability, Product Compliance and other internal stakeholders.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts in Italian and English, including NDAs, supply and sub‑supply agreements, machinery purchase agreements, procurement and general services contracts, consultancy/professional services agreements, logistics/transport/warehousing agreements and intercompany contracts.
  • Support the management of claims, disputes and litigation within the assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Conduct legal research, analyse issues and prepare clear, commercially-oriented legal opinions and internal notes.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into internal guidance and contract updates.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of legal training for business teams.
  • Implement and maintain legal processes, standard contract templates and playbooks; drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional and international teams to ensure legal strategies enable business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Law degree (qualified lawyer) with authorization to practise as required by Italian rules.
  • Significant in‑house legal experience with demonstrable expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Deep knowledge of the Italian legal system and its application to procurement, supply and commercial contracts.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels and with external counterparties.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise under pressure and manage multiple deadlines with high accuracy.
  • Fluency in Italian and English; working knowledge of French considered an advantage.
