As an employer, Kering offers a distinctive environment where creative excellence, entrepreneurial spirit, and long-term sustainability converge. The Group empowers its talents to shape the future of luxury through innovation, craftsmanship, and responsible business practices. With an international culture grounded in diversity, inclusion, and shared ambition, Kering provides meaningful career opportunities for professionals seeking to contribute to exceptional brands while advancing a more sustainable and imaginative luxury industry.
Kering is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to oversee network operations, L3 support and major incidents across approximately 800 sites in Northern Europe, while providing functional leadership to five contracted engineers without direct line management. The role also covers production changes, site projects, SD-WAN migrations, strategic event support and vendor coordination; occasional availability outside business hours is required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure operational continuity of network infrastructure across approximately 800 sites in France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and the Nordic countries.
- Provide L3 support following escalation from L1 and L2 teams; lead incidents through full service restoration and perform in-depth diagnostics, log analysis and network captures.
- Configure and administer production network equipment; conduct proactive monitoring, failover tests, updates and capacity checks, and implement corrective actions for recurring incidents.
- Act as technical expert and coordinator during major incidents, manage escalations with operators and service providers, communicate with the Houses, management and non-technical stakeholders, and contribute to root-cause analyses, incident reviews and post-mortems.
- Coordinate five contracted network engineers—three in France and two in the United Kingdom—by allocating incidents, setting priorities, organizing workloads, leading a weekly meeting, validating technical solutions and intervention quality, participating in contractor recruitment, evaluation and renewal, and supporting the team's skills development.
- Prepare and execute production changes; write risk analyses, implementation plans, tests and rollback plans; and present changes to the Change Advisory Board or Network Change Board.
- Support site openings, closures, moves and renovations; define local technical solutions and install, configure, test and deploy equipment.
- Participate in SD-WAN migrations and coordinate operations with Orange.
- Provide network support for strategic events, including Fashion Weeks, VIP events, the Cannes Film Festival and Kering's Annual General Meeting.
- Manage incidents and escalations with Orange and Colt, assess intervention quality and contractual commitments, technically validate quotations, and track deliveries.
- Contribute to rationalizing equipment, circuits and licences; maintain and improve network diagrams, inventories, addressing plans and site documentation; and produce technical documentation in English.
Qualifications
- Master's degree (Bac+5) in IT, networks or telecommunications, or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of network engineering experience.
- Experience in operational coordination or as a technical point of reference.
- Strong command of Cisco Catalyst, Meraki, Aironet, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VLAN, switching, DHCP/IPAM and troubleshooting.
- Essential experience managing major incidents and working in production environments.
- Knowledge of SD-WAN, FortiGate, Infoblox, ThousandEyes, Nagios, ServiceNow and ITIL is preferred.
- CCNA certification or equivalent level; CCNP is preferred.
- Experience in luxury, retail, events or a VIP environment is highly valued.
- Operational leadership, autonomy, rigour, service orientation, analytical ability, composure under pressure, decision-making, organization, diplomacy, coaching skills and discretion.
- Occasional availability outside business hours is required for major incidents, critical changes, migrations and strategic events.
