Kering is seeking an IT Automation Engineer Intern for its TEC – Global Operations team in Paris to build IT4IT automation workflows, integrations and AIOps solutions using cloud, DevOps and generative AI technologies. The six-month internship is intended for a final-year placement or gap year.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design intelligent automation workflows and expand the operational orchestration ecosystem by connecting central repositories, telemetry and monitoring platforms with advanced automation pipelines and generative AI models for incident diagnosis and self-remediation.
  • Develop connectors and automation workers to synchronize infrastructure and asset data with the CMDB using ServiceNow REST APIs and Webhooks.
  • Automate the collection and aggregation of operational health metrics from Prometheus, Mimir, Grafana and Datadog.
  • Build orchestration scripts and microservices to industrialize recurring operations and configuration tasks.
  • Implement predictive analysis and incident summarization pipelines using generative AI APIs, including Google Gemini, Vertex AI and Claude.
  • Contribute to automated validation scenarios and resilience testing, including Chaos Engineering, incident simulations and fault injection.
  • Create automatic generators for configurations and monitoring rules for operations teams.
  • Help establish CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI to test and deploy automation components.
  • Document automation architectures and programming interfaces using OpenAPI or Swagger.

Qualifications

  • Final-year student at an engineering school or pursuing a Master’s degree in computer science, cloud or DevOps, seeking a final-year internship or a six-month gap-year internship.
  • Strong interest in automation and backend or middleware development using Node.js, TypeScript or Python.
  • Good understanding of API architectures, including REST, JSON and Webhooks, and experience handling databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure and containerization tools such as Docker, and version control with Git.
  • Strong attention to code rigor, reliability and maintainability.
  • Curiosity about the Ops/DevOps ecosystem, monitoring and applications of AI to IT operations.
  • Proactive and autonomous in resolving technical integration challenges.
  • Experience with or interest in monitoring and metrology tools such as Grafana and Prometheus, or ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, is a plus.
  • Initial exposure to LLM APIs such as Gemini, Claude or OpenAI is a plus.
