Kering seeks an Inventory Control Assistant for a one-year maternity cover role in Seoul, supporting inventory safeguarding and financial reporting across luxury Group brands.
Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure existence, completeness, and accurate valuation of inventory across Kering Group brands
- Implement, improve, and execute processes and internal controls that safeguard inventory and ensure accurate financial reporting in Group statements
- Monitor effectively all transactions affecting inventory, including goods receipts, sales, transfers, adjustments, price changes, and transfer price updates
- Contribute to implementation of inventory control solutions, including formalization of month-end closing and system processes within SAP deployment in Korea
- Enable continuous accounting by monitoring transactions daily and ensuring permanent synchronization between inventory and accounting modules/systems
- Execute timely monthly closing activities and system certification to support fast close objectives
- Perform and document internal controls over inventory in system and oversee physical stock-takes
- Conduct daily receiving reconciliation to align inventory receiving data with inter-company statements
- Monitor and identify synchronized inventory transaction data from systems such as POS, JDA, and reporting tools
- Monitor store errors such as STS discrepancies and establish follow-up action plans with brand teams
- Issue periodic evaluation reports to brand headquarters and local teams
- Manage non-merchandise prepaid expenses and ensure timely monthly closing delivery to finance teams
- Report shrinkage analysis bi-annually and conduct merchandise and non-merchandise physical stock takes in stores and warehouses
- Generate, justify, and substantiate inventory control transactions with instant review capabilities
- Complete logistics and customs clearance procedures for inter-company shipments
- Verify and review shipping documents for import and export customs clearance
- Communicate with internal stakeholders (brand HQ, regional and local teams, stores) and external partners (forwarders, customs agencies, audit firms)
- Support internal and external audit activities
- Document processes in system and train others to understand retail business operations and finance
- Monitor and report store performance KPIs on inventory control to brand management and operations
- Design and implement collaborative remediation action plans
- Contribute to APAC Finance Shared Service Center progress toward ISO certification on quality and controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Fluent English proficiency in written and verbal communication
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning abilities
- Proactive and self-motivated with demonstrated teamwork support
- Basic understanding of retail business, accounting, and overall logistics flow
- Ability to multitask and maintain focus in a demanding work environment
- Hands-on, action-oriented mentality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
