Kering seeks an Inventory Control Accountant in Shanghai to manage inventory accounting, month-end closing, SAP support and inventory reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute daily inventory system operations including sales auditing, monitoring stock transactions, reconciling discrepancies and validating data integrity.
- Lead month-end inventory closing activities: cost calculations, valuation adjustments, provisions and reconciliations.
- Prepare, analyse and distribute key inventory reports including Goods-in-Transit (GIT) aging and negative on-hand monitoring.
- Collaborate with Brand Finance, Logistics, Retail Operations and Procurement to resolve inventory discrepancies and optimise processes.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and explaining inventory processes and controls.
- Participate in implementation, enhancement and ongoing support of SAP inventory and finance modules.
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement and standardisation initiatives within the Finance Shared Services Center, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in inventory accounting or inventory controlling, preferably within retail, luxury goods or consumer products.
- Hands-on experience with SAP, specifically within inventory and finance modules.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP and/or IFRS) and inventory management best practices.

Experience
At least 3 years of practical experience in inventory accounting or controlling, with demonstrable exposure to retail or luxury supply-chain processes and hands-on use of SAP for inventory/finance activities.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
