Kering seeks an Intercompany Accountant for its Malaysia finance shared services team, supporting intercompany accounting and control across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Macau, Australia and New Zealand. The role handles transaction processing, period-end close, reporting, audit support and process improvement.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process intercompany transactions, including issuing and recording billings, debit notes, credit notes and invoices.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing and reporting activities, including intercompany confirmations, reconciliations, and income and expense accruals.
- Provide audit support for queries and requests relating to intercompany transactions.
- Ensure intercompany transactions follow agreed processes and timelines and comply with applicable accounting standards.
- Escalate identified or potential gaps to improve daily operations and month-end and year-end closing and reporting service-level agreements.
- Support the shared services center’s objective of becoming 100% paperless by redesigning controls, practices and processes.
- Participate in process-improvement projects and support the Manager.
- Handle other ad hoc assignments as required.
Qualifications
- Major in Accounting or Finance and hold a CA qualification.
- At least 3 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, including a minimum of 2 years working with a public accounting firm; Big Four candidates are highly preferred.
- SAP knowledge is preferred.
- Able to work independently and learn quickly.
