Kering DevSecOps Studio seeks Integration & Streaming Engineer in Paris to lead AI-augmented Kafka platform operations and evolution within strategic Rekonkering digital transformation program.
Role & Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and evolve Apache Kafka platforms in multi-cloud environments, administering Kafka Streams, Connect, MirrorMaker, ksqlDB, and Schema Registry
- Define and manage SLOs and error budgets for streaming flows, monitoring consumer lag, offset gaps, and rebalancing activities
- Diagnose and resolve streaming incidents while transforming lessons learned into sustainable improvements via structured post-mortems
- Exploit generative AI tools and LLM agents to accelerate engineering and operational activities, including incident diagnosis and runbook generation
- Generate and validate integration mappings, Kafka Connect configurations, and Avro/Protobuf schemas with LLM assistance and human review for critical cases
- Operate and enhance the API Gateway platform, managing authentication, routing, rate limiting, and REST/SOAP/SFTP/Batch integration flows
- Maintain and evolve observability solutions using Kafka, Elasticsearch logging workflows, Grafana, and Kibana dashboards
- Contribute to Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) to ensure consistency and long-term sustainability of integration solutions
- Enrich the team's knowledge base with integration patterns, post-mortems, and best practices through Context Engineering principles
- Participate in Discovery Squads applying AI-SDLC practices through AI-assisted iteration cycles and specification formalization
- Animate the developer community by sharing best practices, facilitating workshops, and supporting platform adoption
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and partner teams to prioritize improvements and maximize value delivered to users
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Integration Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Middleware Engineer roles
- Strong proficiency in Apache Kafka and its complete ecosystem
- Proven experience with API Gateway platforms and integration patterns (REST, SOAP, messaging, SFTP, batch)
- Solid expertise in observability and monitoring solutions: Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana, and APM tools
- Strong command of Linux environments and networking fundamentals
- Demonstrated experience with Agile, ITIL, and DevOps practices
- Practical experience with cloud environments and Kubernetes
- Understanding of SLO and error budget concepts applied to platform reliability
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or equivalent) in professional contexts
- Ability to integrate LLMs into operational workflows such as troubleshooting and configuration generation
- Understanding of Prompt Engineering and Context Engineering concepts for platform engineering
- Strong influence and collaboration skills with ability to coach teams and foster communities of practice
- Results-oriented mindset with ability to drive improvements through measurable impact metrics
- Demonstrated autonomy, rigor, and analytical thinking in complex, dynamic environments
- Full professional proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken
