Kering — Head of Media Trading in Paris: lead Group media buying, negotiate global partnerships and oversee trading across 40+ markets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and lead Group media buying strategy and operating framework to maximise value delivery (media cost efficiency, premium visibility, innovation access and added value).
- Negotiate and manage global media partnerships and deals across all media types and markets (40+), including Joint Business Partnerships (JBPs) and global/local agreements.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with media agencies, media partners and internal stakeholders (brands, Procurement, Legal).
- Monitor partnership and trading performance across markets through frequent investment reporting and analysis; organise and lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- Benchmark Group and brand media spend versus competitors and deliver quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform strategy.
- Lead media investment audits covering productivity, cost benchmarks, AVBs and contract compliance.
- Act as an external ambassador for Kering Media to strengthen the Group’s industry influence and access to innovation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years' experience in media trading or media buying, preferably agency-side or in a global client role.
- Proven track record leading trading for global clients, with experience negotiating large-scale, multi-market media agreements.
- Established, trust-based network of media partners and demonstrable ability to secure premium value and innovations.
- Excellent negotiation, commercial and analytical skills with experience in media audits and cost benchmarking.
- Strong leadership qualities: autonomous, rigorous, collaborative and able to influence senior stakeholders.
- Fluent English (mandatory); French and Italian considered advantageous.
- Experience or affinity with luxury, retail or premium-brand environments is a plus.
Skills
Experience
At least 15 years in media trading/buying roles, with prior responsibility for global clients or multi-market trading. Background may be agency-side (trading lead) or client-side with demonstrable experience negotiating and managing global media partnerships and audits.
Education
Master's degree (or equivalent) in marketing, communications, business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience in media and advertising.
