Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the Key Account channel for assigned markets in Malaysia to deliver annual sales growth and meet revenue targets.
  • Supervise and coach Key Account Executives, setting clear objectives and monitoring sales activities and achievement across accounts.
  • Serve as primary client contact to build and maintain long-term, strategic relationships with major retail and wholesale partners.
  • Develop and implement tailored account plans, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities to expand business within key accounts.
  • Collaborate with Trade Marketing to implement product marketing assets, POSM and other retail initiatives.
  • Analyse sales and replenishment data, forecast account performance and recommend actions to optimise inventory and revenue.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, contracts and pricing with key clients and lead deal closures, renewals and expansions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer performance to identify risks and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience in key account management, ideally within fashion, luxury, cosmetics or FMCG.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising or mentoring sales staff and driving commercial targets.
  • Proven negotiation skills and a track record of closing and expanding major accounts.
  • Fluency in English and the local language (Malay).

Experience

At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in key account or national account management, with demonstrable success in the fashion, luxury, cosmetics or FMCG sectors and experience supervising sales personnel and delivering account growth.
