Kering Eyewear seeks an Industrialization Specialist in Padova, Italy. Drive product development and supplier collaboration in luxury eyewear manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance during the design and development of new eyewear styles, focusing on technical feasibility, engineering processes, and production viability while advising on quality, delivery timelines, and cost optimization
- Collaborate with eyewear manufacturers and suppliers on the engineering and development of new collections, ensuring alignment with brand specifications and production capabilities
- Inspect and evaluate samples and prototypes to verify conformity with technical requirements, design specifications, and international standards
- Verify that color samples and material structure comply with pre-established requirements and maintain consistency across production batches
- Ensure newly developed products conform to national and international quality standards, including safety and performance regulations
- Review the technical accuracy of documentation shared between departments and within the Supply Chain function, including technical drawings, material specifications, lens requirements, color specifications, and bills of materials (BOM)
- Monitor sample and prototype scheduling in alignment with development timelines and calendar deadlines, conducting supplier visits as needed
- Manage requests from the Design & Product department regarding manufacturing processes, material selection, and product specifications
- Collaborate with the Quality team to address quality issues, develop corrective and preventive action plans, and ensure implementation of improvements
- Recommend actions to maximize profitability, minimize waste, and improve operational efficiency
- Propose sustainability initiatives for products and manufacturing processes
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or degree in Engineering
- Fluent English language proficiency
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving orientation
- Experience in an analogous industrialization or manufacturing engineering role
- Knowledge of CAD software and proficiency in technical drawing interpretation (preferred)
- Ability to responsibly leverage artificial intelligence tools to enhance decision-making while applying critical thinking
- Teamwork orientation and demonstrated interest in working within an international environment
Skills
Experience
2-3 years of professional experience in an analogous industrialization, manufacturing engineering, or product development role, preferably within the eyewear or optical goods manufacturing sector
Education
Technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, or related discipline)
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Padova, Veneto, Italy, with easy access to Venice.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 37,000 per annum.
