Kering Eyewear is seeking a CAD Designer for its Creative Area at its Padua headquarters. The role supports 2D and 3D prototype development through industrialization, coordinating with Designers, suppliers, industrialization and Operations; the initial indicative salary is €35,000, with an annual variable bonus and benefits under company policies and the applicable eyewear collective agreement.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver 2D and 3D projects on time during prototype development and industrialization launch.
- Oversee the creation of new prototype components and liaise with suppliers to ensure they are made correctly.
- Work closely with Designers to interpret creative drawings accurately.
- Work closely with the industrialization specialist and, where necessary, suppliers on all project components, from small parts to finished eyewear, assessing production-stage opportunities and risks.
- Identify and propose ideas to ensure the feasibility of complex projects.
- Identify and assess technical issues during project development and propose solutions to improve the product.
- Stay up to date on manufacturing systems to recommend the right supplier for each project's specific requirements.
- Liaise with Operations to achieve the required results by reviewing suppliers’ technical drawings and communicating any necessary changes to industrialization.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience in a similar role involving eyewear and/or jewelry prototyping.
- Knowledge of 2D and 3D programs, including Rhinoceros.
- Knowledge of metals, plastics, and natural materials such as wood and horn.
- Passion for the work, an innovative mindset, and strong problem-solving ability.
- Precision, dynamism, and a strong ability to work in a team.

At least 4 years of experience in a similar role involving eyewear and/or jewelry prototyping.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 35,000 per annum.
