Kering is hiring a Data Engineer in Paris to build and operate the Group’s Data & AI platform using GCP, BigQuery, dbt and modern data tooling.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain platform components and services (data pipelines, frameworks, governance modules, automations).
- Design and contribute to Architecture Decision Records (ADRs); assess technical trade-offs and participate in platform architecture decisions.
- Operate and improve platform reliability: investigate incidents, provide user support, and drive performance and stability enhancements.
- Promote adoption: engage with the developer community, share best practices, and support Product Owners and domain teams in using platform tools and services.
- Collaborate with the Platform Product Owner on roadmap, priorities and continuous service improvement, ensuring alignment with security and architecture rules.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a Cloud & Data engineering role or similar.
- Proven experience with cloud data services and modern data architectures, ideally on GCP.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, and experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Skills
Experience
At least three years working in Cloud & Data environments, with demonstrable hands-on delivery of data pipelines, platform services or data product components and a solid understanding of modern data architectures and platform operations.
Education
Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
